Eoin Ryan
Eoin Ryan the Energy Coach is originally from Castlebridge but having spent most of his life in Dublin is now a self-proclaimed D’ulchie! He is the founder of the Wexford Triathlon club and the Wexford half marathon and 10km. Eoin is no stranger to endurance sports himself having completed the Marathon des Sables, the worlds toughest race. Ironman, including one static Ironman on Grafton Street for the People in Need telethon. Part of which was to swim 3.8kms in a purpose built pool outside St Stephens Green shopping centre. His small quirky claim to fame he says. He has also ran multiple ultra-marathons including running seven marathons in six days for Crumlin children’s hospital.
In between participating in events he set up Ryano Event management in 2008, after being made redundant, which he recently sold so he can concentrate full time on coaching. While working on events and coaching Eoin was an award winning IFC sports coach in 2015 and was accredited a Business All star for fitness in 2018. Most recently during lockdown he created an app called the 360 Journal app to help reduce peoples stress and boost their energy.
Eoin has written and published two books. Outcome Running became an Amazon kindle No 1 bestseller and Trawled. Eoin’s talk is based on key moments in the book Trawled which is a true story of a fishing adventure that went badly wrong for him. He will share the darkest moment of his life and how an act of humility ‘asking for help’ changed every thing for him.
